Nations and Voices Project
In 2017, I decided to live out of my backpack and travel the world for a year. I didn't see myself represent in the world of travel, so I created the Nations and Voices Project. My goal was to take photos of the folx I met during my travels and share their stories. It was hope to inspire other Indigenous Queer folx to explore world travel. This is my year-long journey.
01
"Canada"
My journey started in the fall on the prairies and I would make my way to the west coast.
Mental note: the prairies are cold during the fall.
02
Europe
After the holidays, I would venture back out and fly overseas to Europe. My cold journey would be filled with moments of cultural appropriation and racism.
